Reims & Paris - Honeymoon Days 4 and 5

(Click on our pictures to link to the albums.)

We took a day trip to Reims to visit the champagne caves on day 4. It was a great day getting to see something different than Paris.

Day 5 was definitely one of the most memorable of the whole trip. We were ready to sleep in, so we woke up at about 10:00 am and went for a run in the mist and rain. The weather had cleared by the time we got out to lunch and to start our day. We visited the Rodin museum, which was neat, and then spent some time walking around the Saint-Germain area. It became overcast and started raining and sleeting on us at the Jardin du Luxembourg.

After a much needed crepe and chocolate chaud, we continued touring and decided to end our day at the Eiffel Tower. We should have realized that the on-and-off periods of clear and rain would continue, despite the glorious weather at 5pm.

I don't think Chad or I will ever forget the lines and the sleet at the Eiffel Tower. It took us close to 4 and 1/2 hours to get up and down.
