I had one of the best workouts of my life last night! Finally, I ran strong and fast. This being my 4th consecutive day of running with 23 miles already run. Talk about a runners high! I was so amazed at what my body did.
To preface the times posted, I have been stuck at an 8:00 pace for a while(not that that is really slow for a girl!).
Warmup to TSD - 10:55
200 m stride(55 sec), 200 m easy
5 x 1000m @ 5k pace with 200 m easy between
1 - 4:44 (7:37 pace)
2 - 4:45
3 - 4:44
4 - 4:44
5 - 4:41 (7:32 pace)
6 x 200m at mile pace (as fast as I can go) with 200m easy between
1 - :50 (6:42 pace)
2 - :46 (6:10 pace)
3 - :47 (6:18 pace)
4 - :45 (6:02 pace)
5 - :44 (5:54 pace)
6 - :41 (5:30 pace)
Cooldown to RunTex(10:55)
More than any of the times that I was hitting, I am so proud to have finished strong in each set.
